How to Install Sony Xperia Z5 Compact USB Drivers

1. Download and extract the Sony Drivers zip package to Desktop on your computer.
2. Open the Device Manager on your computer by searching device manager (devmgmt.msc) from Windows Start Menu.
3. When the Device Manager window opens, click on your Computer name.
4. Now click on Action and then click on Add legacy hardware.
5. Now Add Hardware Wizard window should open. Click on Next to continue.
6. Now select Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced) option and click on Next.
7. Now click on Show All Devices from the list and click on Next.
8. Now click on Have Disk… to open the Install From Disk window.
9. In the Install From Disk window, click on Browse… and navigate to the folder where you have extracted the Sony Mobile drivers in Step #1.
10. Now select the Sony USB Driver .inf file.
11. Once selected, click on Open and then on OK.
12. Now select the Sony flash driver from the list and click on Next.
13. In the next screen, confirm the Hardware driver to install and click on Next to begin the Sony Xperia Drivers installation process.
14. Once installed, click on Finish.
15. Once all the listed drivers are installed, restart your computer.

How to Install Sony Xperia Z5 Compact USB Drivers Manually

1. Download and extract the latest_usb_driver_windows.zip package on your computer.
2. Open the Device Manager on your computer by right-clicking Windows Start Button and selecting Device Manager.
3. Once the Device Manager window opens, click on your Computer name.
4. Now click on Action and then on Add legacy hardware.
5. Now Add Hardware Wizard window should pop-up. Click on Next to continue.
6. In the next screen, select Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced) option and click on Next.
7. Now select Show All Devices and click on Next.
8. Now click on Have Disk… to open the Install From Disk window.

10. Now select android_winusb.inf file and click on Open and then on OK.
11. Select the Android ADB Interface driver from the list and click on Next.
12. Confirm the Hardware driver to install and click on Next to begin the installation process.
13. Once installed, click on Finish.
14. Follow Steps #3 to #13 again and install the Android Bootloader Interface driver and Android Composite ADB Interface driver.
15. Once all the listed drivers are installed, reboot your computer.

How to Install Sony Xperia Z5 Compact ADB and Fastboot Drivers

1. Download and extract 15 seconds ADB installer on your computer to obtain the adb-setup.exe file.
2. Now right click on the adb driver installer setup file and click on Run as administrator.
3. Now you'll see a command prompt window with a blue background and white text.
4. It should say, Do you want to install ADB and Fastboot? Press the Y key on your keyboard and hit Enter.
5. Now, it should ask whether you want to install ADB system-wide? Again press the Y key and hit Enter.
